i want to tell you how i spend the first day of the chinese new year.
yes, as with the long standing tradition...
i am dispatching ang-paos most of the time.
for once, cousins, nephews & nieces are happy to see me.

then i began to think about my AsKaRiS - (the foreign legion, namely: Tian Jiao, Debby, Fu Xiao, Pattraporn, Cynthia, Si Suo & Jin Tao)

i wonder how are they spending this day without their loved ones around.
hmm, maybe some of them are in the comfort of parents who came along to Singapore.
still i feel for them,
having to spend one of the most significant festive periods in a foreign land.

someone told me before,
the heart will long our loved ones most during festive periods.

i ask Alf,
what can Alf do to make my foreign legion a little bit more homely for this day.
Alf told me ...
try to take photo,
try to tell them the world is a nice place.
try to tell them if they long for their family, they can find a closely knitted community in 4 aSkArI
